#18 - Rework

Hello! I want to give you an update about what I have been doing.

I was busy the past month with work, so I had little to no free time to study what I was planning. Now that things are getting calmer and I'll have more time, I plan to start a "new" big project. I will redo my blog using HTMX and Golang (or Rust; I am still deciding).

I know, I know... I barely post here, so why does all this work again? Let me tell you why. I am a backend developer, and I created this blog to study front-end development. During development, I decided to store my data on Firebase, which became my whole backend. Working with Firebase was great; I recommend it if you want to develop something quickly. But for me, it felt like cheating. It's like a famous old saying in Brazil, "Casa de ferreiro, espeto de pau." (Blacksmith house, wooden stick). Or the English version: "The shoemaker's son always goes barefoot.". The main point is that we tend to give our business more care and energy than ourselves.

That's why I chose HTMX. It's simple, gets the job done, and I can use any backend. Doing the backend myself and knowing that I'm responsible for all parts of this project will give me more satisfaction.

The idea is to post updates during the blog's development. And if I stumble upon something interesting, I can create a tutorial or something similar.

So follow me along this journey. I'll keep you guys updated.
