#10 - Good progress

Hey everyone,

I'm aware that I don't post for a while, but I made good progress on my goals over these weeks. Here is a quick follow-up:

C++

I've been studying C++ for some weeks now. I finished reading the Accelerated C++ book. And now, I want to create a small game. Game development is something that always wanted to do, and it will be a good learning opportunity.

But since I'm not going to use a Game Engine, I will need to learn other things, like OpenGL. Here is a quick look at what I have so far:

The "game" is just some falling blocks and a controllable square for now. I spent a lot of time understanding how CMake works. Maybe I could publish my findings here.

React

I have chosen React as a framework to learn. Even though I've been procrastinating a bit on that goal, I started following a great tutorial on youtube yesterday. Here is the tutorial link if you are interested.

I plan to finish this tutorial and then think about some cool web projects to code.

My slow internet

My internet was horrible! It was impossible to work from home. So I signed up with a new internet provider. Now we have decent internet at home :)

Prepping for Christmas

Christmas spirit arrived here in Sweden. So we did some shopping and bought decorations for our home. Our Christmas tree is so beautiful that I could stare at it the whole night =)
